Welcome to Heirloom Quilts. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined below. Please read them carefully before submitting your order.
Terms & Conditions - Handmade Process
All quilts are individually handmade using clothing and materials provided by you. As such, slight variations in colour, layout, stitching, and finish are to be expected — and are part of the unique, handcrafted nature of our products.
Customer-Supplied Clothing
It is the customer’s responsibility to:

Provide clean, freshly washed clothing

Ensure all items are free of pet hair, stains, and odours

Understand that clothing may be cut or altered to suit the quilt design
We take great care with your items, but we cannot accept liability for damage to fragile, worn, or delicate fabrics.
Booking Deposit & Non-Refundable Fee
A £50 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your place in our schedule. This covers the time spent planning and preparing your custom design.
This amount will be deducted from your final balance, but is non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellation.
Turnaround Time
The average turnaround is 4–6 weeks from the date we receive your clothing. However, this may vary depending on the time of year or volume of orders. We will communicate delays wherever possible.
Cancellations & Refunds
Due to the custom and sentimental nature of each quilt, we do not offer refunds once work has begun.
You may cancel your order within 48 hours of confirmation, provided your clothing has not yet been received. However, the £50 deposit remains non-refundable.
If you change your mind after sending clothing but before we begin cutting, we can return your items — minus postage and admin fees.
Delivery & Shipping
We use tracked shipping services and do our best to ensure safe delivery. However, Heirloom Quilts is not responsible for delays or damage caused during transit. See our Shipping Policy for full details.
Care Instructions
Your quilt is made to be cherished. We recommend:

Gentle machine wash on a cold, delicate cycle

Line dry or low tumble dry

Do not bleach or dry clean
Excessive washing may cause wear over time. We are not responsible for damage due to incorrect care.
Privacy
We treat your personal information with care and confidentiality. All contact details and addresses are stored securely and never shared or sold. We love showcasing the beautiful quilts we create and may use photos of finished pieces for promotional purposes, such as on our website or social media. However, if you prefer your quilt not to be shared publicly, just let us know — we fully respect your wishes.
Intellectual Property
All quilt designs, branding, and website content remain the property of Heirloom Quilts and may not be reproduced or copied without permission.
